Camp Coordinator
Organize and execute the following things:
Take a leadership role in planning and carrying out the operation of multiple weeks of affordable day camp designed for children ages 5-11 years for Woodstock and Oxford County.
Planning; the camp name, theme, registration forms, advertising, schedules, trips, snacks, lessons and special guests.
They will be required to recruit, interview and hire younger students as day camp leaders as well as supervising those leaders throughout the day camp.
The Day Camp Director also creates a day camp manual for leaders.
They research and book field trips including busses/transportation.
They are responsible for budgeting the camp: costs for snacks, crafts/craft supplies, trips, as well as documenting income and expenses.
They will have to purchase all the supplies for each activity, event and snack, maintain daily attendance records and be a liaison to the parents.
This individual will also mentor their leaders and volunteers on a daily basis and ensure that they are continuously improving both their leadership skills as well as their leaders and volunteers.
Arts and Crafts Programs Coordinator
$19.60/hr.

Day Camp Coordinator - Arts & Crafts will play a crucial role in overseeing and assisting with the operations of our summer camp program, specifically in the area of arts and crafts. This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in managing and coordinating various aspects of a summer camp, while ensuring the safety, well-being, and enjoyment of campers. The Arts & Crafts coordinator will work closely with other camp staff, campers, and parents to create a positive, creative and engaging camp environment.
Responsibilities:
Assist in planning and organizing daily camp activities: arts and crafts for roughly 200 children. Purchase the supplies.
Supervise and ensure the safety of campers during all camp activities, including arrival and departure times.
Support camp staff in implementing camp policies, procedures, and rules to maintain a safe and inclusive environment.
Foster positive relationships with campers, parents, and staff, addressing any concerns or issues that may arise.
Collaborate with camp staff to create and maintain a daily schedule that balances structured activities and free play.
Assist in the preparation and distribution of camp materials, such as schedules, permission slips, and activity supplies.
Help maintain accurate attendance records and assist with camper check-in and check-out processes.
Support camp staff in organizing and leading team-building exercises and group activities.
Provide guidance and support to campers in resolving conflicts and promoting positive social interactions.
Assist with the setup, cleanup, and maintenance of camp facilities and equipment.

Administrative Assistant
Position Summary:
The Administrative Support Assistant will help streamline Movement Church's internal operations by updating databases, preparing program materials, and supporting staff with essential organizational tasks. This position gives a student valuable experience in office administration, data management, and project coordination.
Primary Responsibilities:
Database Maintenance: Update contact information, attendance records, volunteer lists, and forms in our internal systems.
Document & File Management: Organize digital files, update program documents, and ensure resources are current and accessible.
Program Support: Assist in preparing materials for weekly kids, youth, and Sunday services (printing, organizing supplies, updating schedules).
Communication Assistance: Help draft emails, prepare announcements, and support the coordination of event information.
Office Duties: Help with general administrative tasks such as scanning, filing, scheduling assistance, and updating calendars.
Project Coordination: Support summer projects (e.g., inventory, room organization, resource updates).

Artistic Director
We are seeking a dynamic and creative individual to join our team as a Summer Worship Arts Intern at Movement Church. This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of worship arts, including stage cleaning, band preparation, song arrangements, lighting, production, cameras, sound, leading the youth band, ProPresenter operation, and more.
The successful candidate will have a passion for worship, excellent organizational skills, and a desire to contribute to the vibrant worship culture of our church.
Responsibilities: Stage Cleaning: Ensure the stage is clean and organized before and after each worship service or event.
Band Preparation in Planning Centre: Assist in preparing and organizing music charts, rehearsal schedules, and other resources using Planning Centre.
Song Arrangements: Collaborate with worship leaders and musicians to contribute creative input in crafting dynamic and engaging song arrangements.
Lighting: Assist in setting up and operating lighting equipment to enhance the worship experience.
Production: Work closely with the production team to ensure smooth execution of all technical aspects during worship services and events.
Cameras: Contribute to the video production team by operating cameras and assisting in capturing engaging visuals for live-streaming or recording purposes.

This position equips a student with leadership, communication, event-planning, and mentorship skills while strengthening our church's outreach to families and young people in the community.

TRAINING/SUPERVISION PLAN:
The Day Camp counsellor will receive hands-on job training for several weeks prior to the start of the camp. The day camp counsellors will work side-by side with the Children's Pastor (supervisor) as well as the Program Coordinator learning how to run/plan the camp. The camp director will show plans from previous years as examples of how to prepare for the current camp. They will get a master list of each task to be accomplished in the planning and preparation of the camp.
The camp counsellor will receive training on how to supervise day camp registrants, and deal with parents and children, manage the daily attendance records, manage the budget. The day camp counsellors encouraged to be vocal with any ideas and suggestions for the camp to both the Children's Pastor and the Day Camp Coordinator.
Organize and execute the following things:
Day camp counsellors will lead the children in each of their activities throughout the day and help purchase supplies or each activity, event and snack.
Maintain the well-being of the campers (safety, mental health, first aid Administrative duties such as maintaining daily attendance records, registration of campers, name tags)
Attend day camp training/leadership meetings responsible for set up and clean up each day.
Will assist the coordinator in team training events. The Children's Pastor will mentor the student in both one-on-one and team meetings - on a weekly basis.
They will use their professional experience as a past Program Coordinator to guide them through the process of learning how to be a camp counsellor, how to effectively lead children, how to effectively lead camp activities.
They will show the student the necessary support skills in order to help run the day camp, and use these skills to enter the labour market in the future. The Mentor and Mentee will have both accomplishments.
